Uzbekistan Tashkent Textile Industrial Park Substation Expansion Project

Uzbekistan Tashkent Textile Industrial Park Substation Expansion Project

As Uzbekistan continues to promote textile industry upgrading, a textile industrial park in the Tashkent Region added multiple new spinning and weaving workshops. Due to the increasing production load and insufficient existing power supply capacity, the customer launched a 110kV substation expansion project. DHDL supplied one OSFZ-40000/110 main transformer to support the industrial park’s growing power demand.

Project Overview

Location Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan Application Textile Industrial Park Substation
Industrial Park Area 135 Hectares New Enterprises More than 20 Companies
Estimated New Load 35MW Main Transformer OSFZ-40000/110
Rated Capacity 40000kVA Voltage Level 110kV / 35kV
Production Cycle 62 Days Transportation Cycle 28 Days

Project Background

Uzbekistan has been steadily upgrading its textile manufacturing industry in recent years. In the Tashkent Region, the textile industrial park introduced several new spinning and weaving workshops to expand production capacity.

As more companies entered the park, the original power supply capacity became insufficient for the growing production load. To ensure stable power supply for the new workshops and future expansion, the customer started a 110kV substation expansion project.

Products Used in This Project

  • Rated Capacity: 40000kVA
  • Voltage Level: 110kV / 35kV
  • Tap Changer: On-load tap changer
  • Cooling Method: ONAN / ONAF

Project Application

  • 110kV substation expansion
  • Power supply for spinning workshops
  • Power supply for weaving production lines
  • Industrial park capacity expansion
  • Long-term full-load operation support

Customer Challenges

Fast Industrial Park Expansion

The textile industrial park was expanding quickly, while the power supply system construction was lagging behind the growing production demand.

High-temperature Operation

Local summer temperatures can reach 45°C. The transformer needed to operate reliably under high ambient temperature and long-term full-load conditions.

Delivery within 70 Days

The customer required the transformer delivery period to be no more than 70 days to keep the substation expansion project on schedule.

Why the Customer Chose DHDL

The customer contacted DHDL through a local engineering consultant. After comparing DHDL with several European-brand suppliers, the customer found that DHDL could provide a shorter delivery time, faster technical response and a more reasonable procurement cost.

DHDL’s engineering team also provided technical suggestions based on the project’s local operating environment, helping the customer improve equipment adaptability and reduce project execution risk.

DHDL Solution

To meet the long-term full-load operation requirement, DHDL used high-permeability silicon steel sheets and optimized the winding design to improve transformer efficiency and reduce losses.

To improve operation under high ambient temperature, DHDL enhanced the heat dissipation performance of the transformer and adopted ONAN / ONAF cooling. Considering the dusty local environment, additional anti-corrosion and sealing design measures were added to improve outdoor reliability.

Delivery Timeline

The transformer production cycle was completed within 62 days. After factory inspection and shipment preparation, the transformer was transported to Uzbekistan, with a transportation cycle of 28 days.

The equipment successfully arrived in Tashkent and was delivered to the project site for substation installation and commissioning.

Customer Feedback

After commissioning, the main transformer operated stably. During peak load periods, the temperature rise remained well controlled, and the overall operation met the project requirements. The project owner recognized DHDL’s product performance and project support.

Follow-up Cooperation

After the successful completion of this project, the customer placed another order with DHDL for 20 units of S11-2500/35 distribution transformers. These transformers will be used for the subsequent supporting power distribution facilities in the industrial park.

This follow-up cooperation further strengthened DHDL’s position as a reliable transformer supplier for textile industrial park and industrial power distribution projects in Central Asia.
